The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?
Although I have *only* given 4 stars, GLS deserves a 5 star rating. I just think that there is always room for improvement even when everything is perfect.
(+/+) Positive
Safe, clean, comfortable, modern lodgings. Professional teaching and facilities. Proximity to public transport. Ease of access to other parts of the city. Lively, vibrant, trendy neighbourhood. Warm, friendly atmosphere around campus. Delicious, copious breakfasts. Generous cheap lunch.
(-) Negative
disappointing coffee. Too watery :- ( currywurst at the famous Konnopke's Imbiss in Eberswalder Strasse U-Bahn.
Your recommendations for other students
Hire a bike and ride across Berlin through the parks, past remnants of the Wall, via Potsdamer Platz and on to Checkpoint Charlie. Hackenscher Markt, a little gem of a neighbourhood not far from GLS, full of bars, restaurants, market stalls. Great atmosphere. There's so much to do and see in Berlin that it is easy to overlook what's on your doorstep. I wish I'd had more time to explore Kastanienallee itself.
