After class activities

After class activities in Berlin & Germany

In addition to our German courses we arrange extracurriular activities in Berlin.  Come along if you want! Every week we organize:

This is how a week at GLS may look like:

The GLS guide is free, what you pay for are entrance tickets and public transport.

Arrival in Berlin and transfer to accommodation: The GLS reception is open 24 hours (after 9 pm there is no receptionist, but the security man will check you in). If you stay with Berliners, please try to schedule arrival between 9 am and 9 pm.

Afternoon: we show you the GLS neigbourhood, a very trendy district called Berlin Prenzlauer Berg.

Evening, 7 pm: Regulars' table for GLS students in the GLS restaurant. Depending on the season there usually are between 40 and 120 students present.

We take you to see "Kunstwerke", one of the best addresses for independent art in all of Europe - very close to the GLS language school, just a 20 minute walk.

Walking tour through Oranienburgerstraße - before the holocaust this used to be a center of Jewish life - and visit of Jewish Museum Berlin

Visit of the Badeschiff - a swimming pool in the middle of river Spree, with a fantastic scenery and a nice bar. At night: We show a movie with German subtitles (big screen in the lounge)

Join us for a boat trip around Museum Island - or do a bike tour with us, along the Berlin wall. At night our guides take you to Friedrichshain: a young and rather alternative district famous for its nightlife

Full day excursion with a GLS guide to places like Potsdam, Dresden or Sachsenhausen, a former concentration camp just north of Berlin: see our current trips

Free day for activities on your own - our recommendation: Go to one of the many lakes in and around Berlin. We´ll gladly consult you - our guides are there for you daily between 10 and 6.30 pm (Monday to Thursday, Friday till 4 pm).
