After class activities in Berlin & Germany

Join the activities complementing our German courses - we organize every week min. 3 after class activities in Berlin and weekend-trips to Potsdam, Dresden, Leipzig. You´ll get to see a lot ...

This is how a week at GLS may look like:

The GLS guide is free, what you pay for are entrance tickets and public transport.

Arrival in Berlin and transfer to accommodation: The GLS reception is open 24 hours (after 9 pm there is no receptionist, but the security man will check you in). If you stay with Berliners, please try to schedule arrival between 9 am and 9 pm.

Afternoon: we show you around in Prenzlauer Berg, the neighbourhood. Evening, 7 pm: old an new GLS students meet in the GLS restaurant . Depending on the season there usually are between 40 and 120 students present.

We take you to see "Kunstwerke", one of the best addresses for independent art in all of Europe - the cafe there has good cakes!

Walking tour through Oranienburgerstraße - before the holocaust this used to be a center of Jewish life - and visit of Jewish Museum Berlin

Visit of the Badeschiff - a swimming pool in the middle of river Spree, with a fantastic scenery and a nice bar. At night: every Thursday we show a movie with German subtitles (big screen in the lounge)

Join us for a boat trip around Museum Island - or do a bike tour with us, along the Berlin wall. At night our guides take you to Friedrichshain: a young and rather alternative district famous for its nightlife

Full day excursion with a GLS guide: to Potsdam for axample or to Sachsenhausen, a former concentration camp. Every second week we arrange ecxursions to places further away like Dresden, Hamburg or Leipzig.

Free day for activities on your own - our recommendation: Go to one of the many lakes in and around Berlin. We´ll gladly consult you - our guides are there for you daily between 10 and 6.30 pm (Monday to Thursday, Friday till 4 pm).
