Intensive German Course
Our intensive course includes 4 daily lessons, helping you improve your general German skills quickly.
- Schedule: Mon–Fri, 9:00–12:30
- Lessons per week: 20 × 45 min
- Start Dates: Every Monday for all levels (complete beginners: 1st Monday of each month)
- Duration: Minimum 1 week – extend as you wish
- Class Size: Max. 14 students (average 8–10)

Intensive Plus

Intensive Plus German Course
This course includes two additional afternoon lessons in smaller groups, on top of the regular intensive course. Afternoon sessions take place only on Mondays and Tuesdays.

- Lessons: 24 × 45 min/week
- Start Dates: Every Monday for all levels (complete beginners: 1st Monday of each month)
- Duration: Minimum 1 week – extend as you wish

This course offers 6 German lessons per day, combining the morning intensive course with 2 extra afternoon lessons in small groups.

Crash (group + 1:1)

Crash: Intensive Course + Individual Classes
6 lessons per day - 4 in a morning group, plus 2 one-on-one lessons with a teacher’s undivided attention to quickly perfect your German.

Evening German Course
The evening courses are held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, available both on campus at GLS Berlin and online.
- Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:30–8:30 PM
- Duration: 4 weeks
- Start Dates: 1st Tuesday of each month for all levels
- Lessons: 20 × 45 min
- Class Size: 6 to 14 students

Private courses

Private German Courses: One-on-One & Mini-Groups
Learn German with a private course tailored to your schedule:
- Format: One-to-one or create a group with up to 5 friends — learn together and save
- Location: On campus at GLS Berlin or online
- Start: Anytime, daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM Berlin time, including weekends.
- Recommended pace: Min. 2 sessions/week, 4 recommended
- Method: Personal coaching, plus homework for self-study

To keep lessons engaging and fun, two teachers share each class, switching after every break.
German Course Content – Learn German at GLS Berlin
At GLS Berlin, our German courses are designed to help you speak German confidently and naturally. You'll build all four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Lessons are interactive and practical - with discussions, role-plays, and real-life conversation practice. You’ll expand your vocabulary, improve sentence structure, and gain the confidence to use German in everyday situations.
We teach grammar in context, never in isolation. Through engaging texts, you’ll explore not only the German language but also German culture, society, and history. Topics include:
- Social life and relationships
- Work and career
- Berlin’s history
- Cultural identity in Germany
By combining language learning with cultural insights, GLS helps you speak German with ease while discovering life in Berlin and beyond.
To make good progress, please attend classes regularly. You’ll need at least 80% attendance for a GLS Certificate. Each level ends with a short test - 60% is enough to move up.
