GLS Location in Berlin

The GLS German Language School is located in the historic center of Berlin, in trendy "Prenzlauer Berg": Around 1900 this district used to be a poor peoples´ habitat. After WW II Prenzlauer Berg ended up in the communist part of Berlin - with many intellectuals and artists living here. 

After the fall of the wall the district boomed and became the trend district in Berlin. Some of the main Berlin highlights are within walking distance from GLS: 


A taxi ride costs Euro 20 - 25, but you can easily get to GLS by public transport as well:

 

  • Airport Tegel TXL:
    Take the Jet Express Bus TXL till Alexanderplatz (daily shuttle service between 6.00 and 23.00, leaving every 15 or 20 minutes), from Alexanderplatz take metro line U 2, only 3 stops till Eberswalder Straße, from here 5 minute walking to GLS: Kastanienallee 82
  • Airport Schoenefeld SFX:
    Take the Airport Express train till Alexanderplatz (leaving every 30 minutes), from Alexanderplatz take metro line U 2, only 3 stops till Eberswalder Straße, from here 5 minute walking to GLS: Kastanienallee 82 

If you arrive by train:


Very simple, no matter at which Berlin station you get off, whether Bahnhof Zoo, Hauptbahnhof or Ostbahnhof - change into any city train (= S-Bahn) going to Alexanderplatz, from Alexanderplatz take metro line U 2, only 3 stops till Eberswalder Straße, from here 5 minute walking to GLS: Kastanienallee 82
