Learn German in Munich @ Munich Castle

This camp in Munich is truly spectacular: you´ll learn German in a medieval castle! The castle is in the southern city center of Munich, on the banks of River Isar. And Munich Highlights such as Hofbräuhaus, Bavaria Filmstudios or Frauenkirche are within easy reach.
You´ll have German classes in the morning, and after class our activity program begins: we´ll have barbecues on River Isar, play volleyball or go shopping in Munich. You´ll get to see all the highlights that Munich has to offer!
And we also show you how the region around Munich looks like, there will be weekend trips to lakes nearby and into the mountains (website of Munich, website of the castle, where you stay).

Program
Location:
A castle - Burg Schwaneck - , that was built in 1843 and has been carefully restored by modern standards in order to serve as an educational institution. The castle is within Munich city, located 10 km south of the city center (15 minute train ride to city center), in a wealthy residential district of Munich. Surrounded by a huge park right next to River Isar
Facilities:
Spacy classrooms with historical touch, 10 roooms with 4 to 5 beds reserved for GLS, knights´hall, lounge, internet cafe, bowling, billard, playground in the park, tabletennis, cafeteria
German course:
- 20 lessons à 45 minutes/week with a max of 12 students per class
- 3 levels: elementary, intermediate, advanced (no beginners)
- international classes with students from up to 40 countries
Accommodation:
on site in 4- to 5-bed rooms with shower(/WC in the hall; full board in the castle cafeteria
Activities & Excursions:
- 2 daily activities in or near the castle: river rafting, swimming, minigolf, ralley, volleyball
- 1 half-day and 1 full-day excursion to Munich city center or places nearby
Supervision
Members of GLS staff stay with you in the summer camp and take care of you
