The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?

Both the morning and evening activities were fantastic - especially the historical ones!

The teachers (Pascal and Jens in particular) were very attentive and tailored their teaching to be as engaging as possible.

Doing actual surveys of people in Berlin city centre was incredible! So so so useful to speak German, and really insightful people to discuss contemporary issues like immigration with.

the food was very dodgy; I was sick after two nights because of some bad rice. Also, there were flies on almost everything, all the time - maybe stick a mesh cover over the dishes, as opposed to leaving them open, with the doors to the dining room open.

Your recommendations for other students

do as many activities as possible, and ask questions whilst you're there - especially if you're studying, and the activities are directly related to your course (like me with history).

Go to Mauerpark and walk around the city a little bit. Try and explore it, and maybe with a friend after a morning activity like 'Alltag in der DDR'.

Take advantage of the teachers' expertise - they're there to be asked questions, so ask them questions!
