The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?
I really liked the location of the camp - there's a little lake close by and you're surrounded by beautiful mountains.
The food was also pretty good and nutritional, but the breakfast was always the same, unless they give out some pancakes. After a few days i got tired of eating sandwitches and the only other option is some cereal with either milk or yoghurt.
The staff are friendly and trustworthy. There were even some, who helped me around the airport during my leave, which can be very useful for kids who rarely or never travel alone by plane.
Unfortunately during some parts of the day I had nothing to do. Though you can always play table tennis, basketball with one net or volleyball, apart from that there isn't much to do during your freetime.
The curfew is also painfully early and strict. At 21:00 (9 PM) everybody must be in their rooms. I think if it were an hour or even half an hour later, it would make it feel a little less like a prison.
Your recommendations for other students
Always listen when the teachers are talking, even if you can barely understand german - you'll still be able to understand certain keywords and it will definitely make your german speaking better.
If you have trouble making friends try joining one of the games during your freetime(ex. Table tennis). It will give you some common ground together.
One week is not quite enough to make a whole lot of progress in german, but some, who have stayed for 2 weeks have made some noticable progress.
Dont forget to bring some cash, because the store nearby doesn't accept card.
If you find that your classes are too easy, don't hesitate to switch into a more advanced group.
